Adjustment of speedo

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise me on changing the size of my wheels to reflect the change in my speedo via VAG COM? Just changed from 15" 195/60 to 17" 225/R45.

You can't change the speedo drive ratios, Richard, that is fixed by the C & U Regs.

In the Yeti Tech section there is a tyre size calculator that might help. The other way is to measure the circumference of each size and that will give you the % difference.

EDIT.

The cornering fogs still work!

Pretty sure the speedo cannot ber calibrated with VCDS

@ an indicated 70mph on the speedo the car will now be doing 72.2 mph - so taking into account all speedo's ever read as std, it is probably spot on now, I personally woldn't worry about it - just be more aware when going through speed camera's!

Cheers guys  I always thought you had to set it with VAG COM when changing. If its not far out I will be careful, though I'm sure if anything it will read slower than with the 15"s.

Pleased to hear the cornering fogs are still working :)
