Fitting a mobile device/phone holder bracket.

Featured Replies

Ok,

So for the last few cars and due to my history in the industry I always used a "DASH MOUNT" made mobile phone holder mount. What do I mean? it's the bracket that you can affix a phone holder to that fixes to the dash in such a away that it doesnt require holes to be drilled etc in the plastic work of the vehilcle. Essentially you remove the stereo, dash, ashtray, whatever and this fixes in and looks quite neat.

My point is, what are existing owners using or this purpose? I know Dash Mount has a Skoda MII kit available - http://www.dashmount.co.uk/index.php/Dashmount/Dashmount-Brackets/Skoda/Skoda-Superb-2008.html - but just wondered if there was anything out there thats better.

Ta,

Dave

I used a Brodit proclip in my old Octavia, to me it looks better when insttalled in the dash and can be installed easily without removing any trim/screws. They offer a number of different mounting options for the Superb2.

I use Brodit as well , not for phone but for ipod

+2 for the Brodit.

However that was on my previous cars, now my phone (iPhone4) stays either in my pocket or sits on top of the 'ashtray' whilst it is connected via the Columbus's Bluetooth.

The Dashmount one is very good. I have one in my Superb II, very secure and high enough not to bother passengers.

I also use a Brodit, dash mount for my iPhone 4. Of course connected to Columbus through Bluetooth, changing Spotify songs in a sec :)
