pd 150 turbo, how much to hybrid ?

Featured Replies

Can get hold of a 150 turbo for 250. How much am I lookin to get it hybrid 'ed ? How do ya know a good turbo from a bad when off the car ?

your trouble could be finding someone that will hybrid a second hand turbo. I know that TD stopped doing these a while back due to warranty claims :(

You could check with CR turbos....

Mmm ? SO if you went via a garage they wouldn't use second hand?

These days most tuners will use a brand new unit, usually purchased directly form Turbo dynamics. Although CR Turbos and Turbo Technics can also supply the turbo in various hybrid forms.

In the past it was possible to send your existing used turbo (or PD150) to, say, TD for a refurb and hybrid on that individual unit. Sadly, no longer available from TD.

Right, cheers for that info mate, thought I was onto a winner then for a second

It is a winner at 250!

Sum1 will hybrid it for you

Turbo dynamics are just being anal!

Lots of turbo builders out there

I tried Turbo Technics a couple of weeks ago and they said £600 for a pd150 to be made into a hybrid.

Turbo dynamics are only offering £100 cah back on one. (presuming thats like a blown one)

But as said they buy them new and then hybrid them :)

yeah but will they charge an arm and a leg to hybrid it? might work out a simular price to just goin new and hybrided? oh i dont know??

Give them a ring and see.
