Well a new mod installed and what a upgrade for the family

As you may know i've upgraded the soun system with a new amp and much better speakers etc but while I was having the amp installed i was chatting to the guys at Wentworth car audio (formally thames car radio) and we brushed on rear seat entertainment so I went away to consider the pros and cons and decided to have it done for my young lads when we are on holiday or days out to make their journey more comfortable

I installed a couple of Nextbase DVD players for the grandkids with mixed success.

First, if they are not playing, the children don't miss them - there is so much to see outside the car.

Second the children are too young to wear headphones for a long time and I find the noise, from the DVD units, very distracting when driving.

Third the units are very nickable so, every time we leave the car, the units are removed and hidden in the boot - and, when we return, the units etc. etc.

So, in my opinion, a mixed blessing.

If you don't mind me asking, whatr was the total cost of the DVD players + installation?

I looked about and it was a varied price depending on quality until I came across the ones I have Rosen av7500 with matching leather and the best quality picture i've seen so £950 plus vat i'm afraid but so worth it , there are cheaper but you pay for what you get and to be honest if my children need glasses early in life I dont want to be responsable for being a tight bugger.

Plus they are so well fitted they look original they are the ones range rover offer as a option on a new car.

I can use either headphones or put it through the fm channel on the car stereo so that i can fade into the rear dual movie mode or individual film or games individual or two player plus usb input and av in so a console is also a possibility (25 installed games)

Auto off with ignition but not on so they only play if i want them too plus movie pick up where you left off and night view or day view mode
