what 1/4mile times do mapped fabias run?

Featured Replies

just curious really as we all know there pants getting the power down in first, i reckon mapped should do it it around 15 and half- low 15s, what do you reckon, be interested what people have run

I'd say that's about bang on the money. Massive part is obviously down to the driver, but mid 15's is about right I'd have thought.

Matt

Personaly unless its wet I never really have a problem gettin my 340 torque on the road. It's all in The balance of revs and clutch. Once your used to your own car this shouldn't really be a problem surly?

planning on going in a couple of weeks, see what the old girl does

yours isn't merely a mapped vRS tho Trevor...

PD150 and partially stripped interior will give you a quicker time than a regular mapped full fat 130.

Let us know how you get on B)

Totally stock fabia I would say mid 15s, without torturing those stock components too much. Trevor I would imagine would be closer to a 15 flat, with maybe a sneaky high 14 if the wind is blowing the right way, bit of interior removed, etc etc. A headwind really kills the times - My 13.7 was into a 20mph headwind. Gives me hope.

I would say standard is 16

Mapped low to mid 15's

Totally agree, I saw 2 VRS at North weald run what ya brung a year or 2 ago.

The stocker was doing 16.5's, the fettled (map & intake, panel filter) did 15.4's

thats well impressive a 13.7 was that a second gear launch too?

i dont think id dare give it the ''death'' required for a decent time for fear of blowing her up tbh emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Nope, 1st gear start. I just couldn't get the clutch / revs right up using 2nd, so I just used 1st, with a swift change to 2nd. 105mph closing speed too - once grip was found, acceleration was quite rapid.

16.01 secs. For me at the Pod last year on a damp day. The VRS is 192bhp. Traction at the start is a problem with road tyres wheelspin going into 2nd. and 3rd as well. I hated the day and won't be going again.

I managed a 16.2 in my mapped Fabia, just couldn't get the power down. Wheels just spun.

It's all down to the no feel throttle pedal and a turbo that just run away with itself.

Ran a 15.6 in my mapped fabia at york. That was with crap tyres and 17s. Just couldnt get a decent launch

My PB with just a remap (on a ibiza so lighter) was a 14.73

Ive seen several Ibiza's with just remap do 14's but never a Fabia

I ran a 15.1 in my mapped fabia, 170bhp,

i ran 15.4 with a map

Out of interest, what were your 0-60ft & 0-330ft times?

1. You dont own a Fabia or even a car on the same platform or even to this... so ssshhh ya face theee!

2. Atleast I post relevant stuff.. when asked what does a mapped car run, I dont go on about my hybrid power'd car running 13.53 over a standing 1/4. Just what it ran, with a remap. So ner ner.

Toyo T1-R's so yup.

Thats my PB, I have ran 10's of 13.7's as several other strips (santa pod & shakespear raceway)
