Hi all.

I want to change the fog lights bulbs on my motor. I know the bumper has to come off to do this. Is there anything i need to watch out as regards to the washer system that sits within the front bumper.

I didnt think you need to remove the bumper to replace a fog light bulb on a Fabia vRS

Just pull off the plastic surround and unscrew it..Three screws

You need to unclip the washer covers, Lift the washer jets (Real pig of a job, The return springs are really strong!) and loosen the two torx screws attaching each washer to the bumper!

And it's definitely a bumper off job, The 3 screws come down from the top of the lamp!

Are you confusing Headlights with Fog lights???

The OP is wanting change a Fog Light

The washers are fitted in the bumper so if the bumper comes off then the washers need to be released.

As far as I know there are 2 typres of figlights on the VRS.

Early ones like mine (54 plate but 2005 year) have foglights that have screws that are fitted from above the foglight. Mine has factory Xenons, so the washers complicate removing the bumper.

To get the foglight out you have to remove the bumber, but looking at mine I think it would be JUST possible to replace the bulbs if you have small hands and use a mechanics miro (the small ones on a stick like a dentists mirror).

One newer models, the figlights are mounted with screws from the front so it's really easy to remove the foglights to get at the bulbs.

On both types, the foglight surround in the bumper has to be removed. Just get hold in one of the slots and give it a tug and it will come out. As it's a flexy type of plastic there's little risk of breaking anything.

I posted something ages ago about this (with pics) but I've done a search and looked at my posts and it's not listed. Must have been before the site was rebuilt.

Pig of a job. You need small hands and patience. But is doable

Just took front covers off. There's one torx screw and then two above the fog light. Bumper off job for me some day.

Think you will find all vRS's have vertical screws - my 07 plate does. The newer non VRS's cars had front screwed foglights.
