Interior (reading) lights on permanently

Featured Replies

Hi all

new here, but lots of interesting stuff!

So : I have upgraded all my internal lighting to LED ( not door lighting, but the rest). I've also done the sidelights. All great, but now after a week or two, the reading lights remain on permanently although very dim. Any ideas?

Regards

Ed

Strange. IIRC it's the earth that is switched, i.e. the live feed is constant-it would appear you have a permanent earth somehow? Did you remove the front dome light unit to install the LEDS?

Hi

I replaced the front dome light (the one in the middle ?) with a blue festoon 42mm, and two white W5Ws on each side. What is odd is that it worked fine for a week or so, and then this morning, went funny. I noticed the sidelights flashed as they came on... not sure if that had anything to do with it though. Perhaps a week in Heathrow T5 parking will sort it out!!

It didnt.

Try switching the auto dimmimg mirror on...

With my mirror switched off, the LED reading lights are very dim when off also!!!!
