Windscreen Teardrop Wipe

Featured Replies

I'm trying to disable the Windscreen Teardrop Wipe using VCDS, but can't find the option anywhere. I've managed all the other tweaks I wanted, auto door locking etc but can only find a teardrop function for the rear screen. Am I being a biff and have missed it?!

Try looking in adaptation rather than coding in Central electric [09]!

Or if your car is older (pre FL) Central convenience [46]!

Thanks for your reply Mike.

I'll plug it in again tonight and have a good play I think. Mine is pre FL, so I'll have a good dig about in 46. I'm sure I've just skipped past it by accident.

I have enabled Tear Drop on the rear wiper of my FL Estate, when should it do its thing? I have front tear drop off with the auto wipers.

I'm guessing the rear would tear wipe after using the washer, like the fronts

Went looking for this earlier too, as the teardrop wipe on the front annoys me. Most of the time it's not necessary, and if I find it is, I'll flick the wiper down myself!

Could only find the option to turn the function on for the rear wiper; nothing for the fronts.

Anyone?

There should be a sub controller on 09 "central electrics". The refers to RLS (rain/light sensor) even if you don't have one I think you can access it and front tear drop is in there.

BTW- I'm referring to an FL but I believe it's in same place on pre.

BIG Nick :)

Cheers. Did some looking around last night and what I saw did seem to suggest there was a slave controller attached to 09.

Will check later.

Steve.

VCDS > Select > 09 - Central Electronics > Coding - 07 > Select Subsystem/Slave #1 (WWS) which is Wiper Module. There you can disable the Teardrop Wiping.

Thank-you :)
