Now had my new L&K TDI Est DSG for a week and boy what a car it is !

Traded in an 07 L&K and after ordering the new one just before Xmas and being told to expect to have to wait until May I was pleased to get an email telling me it was on its way and should be ready for 1st week of April.

The colour is fantastic (Rosso Brunello Metallic) although I can't claim the credit - it was my wife's choice. Light leather interior with black. Columbus sat nav finishes it off nicely and gets rid of the annoying tom Tom cables etc.

I drive about 130 miles Mon to Thur (Live in Surrey, Work In Hampshire, up and down the A3) and the improvement in fuel economy from the new CR TDI engine is absolutely brilliant !

The new DSG gearbox is MUCH better and changes are so smooth you have to look at the display to check what gear you are in.

Also own a Smart Cabriolet and like many Smart owners have modded that a bit ! Was going to tweak the L&K once I got it but honestly cannot see anything I would want to do with such a brilliant machine !

Well done to get it so soon I ordered my L&K DSG in Rosso in November and still waiting for a BW

I went from an '06 2.0TDI PD L&K estate to a CR140 Yeti, both diesel & DSG. The Yeti is sooooo much better than my old Octavia. That colour is great. The new DSG is much much better.

Mods: flappy paddle MFSW and a remap..........

Typical mpg going from Chessington to Portsmouth on the A3 at a steady 65 to 75 (oops sorry officer !)

Old '07 L&K tdi (PD engine) - around 45 mpg, never much better than 48 mpg

New '11 L&K tdi (CR engine) - so far, average around 52 mpg and on one homeward run where not so much in a hurry ( but still around 65 mph) I pulled into the drive showing 58.2 mpg !!!

AND it still only has 650 miles since new !

Fantastic result in particular for a brand new car. And it will improve with more miles. Keep us informed please.
