Crazy side mirrors

Featured Replies

Hello guys!

Strange behavior of the side mirrors and d/s mirror's LED.

If i put the switch to L the left mirror is moving, if i switch to R both mirrors moving at the same time! Wtf?

Since this the right side LED is not working under the mirror.

Any idea?

Thanks!

Did you check front and rear under the carpet? Also under the battery is worth checking.

First read the manual:

Manual page 59:

Adjusting left and right exterior mirrors simultaneously

– Turn the rotary knob to position ïŒ. The movement of the mirror surface

is identical to the movement of the rotary knob.

Adjusting the right-hand exterior mirror

– Turn the rotary knob to position ï’. The movement of the mirror

surface is identical to the movement of the rotary knob.

Folding in both exterior mirrors*

– Turn the rotary knob to position ï«.

Tilting surface of front passenger exterior mirror*

When the rotary knob is in position ï’ â‡’ fig. 52 and the reverse gear is engaged, the

surface of the mirror tilts down slightly. This provides an aid in seeing the kerb of the

pavement when parking the car.

If you shift out of reverse gear, or switch over to the driver exterior mirror in position

ïŒ, the mirror surface on the passenger side moves back into the original position.

Thank you Hoverurb!

So that means i never noticed the mirrors moving simultaneously :)

Is it possible to make the mirrors face down automatically when I reverse? Does VCDS has this option?

The LH one tilts down when you reverse if you turn the knob to the correct position.

Yes sorry. Didn't read all the text in manual. :)

Tried it out, but my mirrors stay in one place. I can see, that when putting it in reverse, they move a little (very little) but it won't downwards.

You have to set them up first, as in set them to the position you want them to go to when you select reverse. You can get them to go to whatever position you like. Read on the next pages in the manual upto page 61 and it explains how to do it in conjunction with the memory for the seats.

This is basic function for all of range Superb I ? My one is not working too.

Not the top range and a parking unit removed and no memory seat.

True, its not fitted to all cars.

I think this can only be used, when you have seats with memory. :(
