Go to Caravan Talk web site and you will get loads of advice, out of interest what is your nose weight.

Always put the heavy items over the van axle, get your bathroom scales and a length of wood put corner steadies up and place scales below van hitch then place wood in hitch and on top of scales lower the jockey wheel so that the full weight is shown on the scales 75KG max if its over move any items further back into the van

The car will take alot more weight than the book says, it's a traffic act law that set's the weight at the tow bar. if ur car is well down at the back and down at the front for the towed van, that's what traffic cops look for, just hope you dont get stopped by the scots cop on the m6 in the birmingham area thats always on telly, he never lets anything go lol. You can get spring assisters that fit into the coils on the rear to help it stay up. Happy hols
