mk 4 golf rad fans

Featured Replies

Need a bit of advice, one of my rad fans is dead.

My mate has a mk4 golf gti turbo that unfortuantley he has put it off the road a few weeks ago causeing damage to the wings bumpers and sump etc.

would the rad fan assembly fit my vrs? Same engine etc he has offered me the assembly for free, the only thing i can think off is his car dosn't have climate control would that effect anything?

I had the larger of the 2 fans die on my vrs i got replacement fans from a mk4 golf tdi fitted straight in.

Yeah its the bigger one that has died on my car also,

Did you replace the whole assembly mate or just the one fan? My mate has said i could have the whole thing if i like.

I just replaced the fan it was easier than replacing the whole cowling only took 20 minutes

cheers mate.

Is it easy to change over mate?

yes i undone the 3 fixings around the outside of the fan 2 at the top and 1 where the wiring goes down at the bottom disconnect the wiring the fan then can come up threw the top with a bit jiggling then you can swap the fans.
