Big scare...

Featured Replies

Happened on full chat going up a hill. Turned out to be just the boost pipe come off. Phew!

Any fixes for this happening? Would any damage have been caused from it coming off and driving 1 mile slowly with it off?

Nope no issues, unless its the stainless top hose that pops off and slams the underside of the bonnet and dints it (as in my case :( )

I went around 30 miles with mine off coz it kept coming off and couldnt be arsed to keep getting out and putting it back on lol

Which bit popped off mate?

Ok thanks :)

The bit that connects from the U bend to the vertical pipe going downwards.

Here are a couple of pics to show which bit I mean:

Its the bottom connection in the first pic:

that exact join there i got loads of play in, cud it lead to boost leaks?

Had this happen so many times now I keep a rag in my drivers door pocket so I can clean my hands after putting it back together B)

I thought my turbo had gone lol. Mines popped off twice now. I now carry a block of wood (cos my cars to low) and my torque set ready to dive under and reconnect

Couldnt put mine back together =(
