How to keep sunscreen on panoramic sunrroof open

Featured Replies

As topic title suggests, is it possible to keep the sunscreen on the paoramic sunroof open at all times. At the moment it seems to close by itself when the car is parked for any length of time ...although not always. Bit annoying to have to keep re opening it when you get back.

If you have checked Rain Closing option, it will close completely if rain sensor detect rain. I know that if you leave open sunroof, it will close after 12h, I am not sure that sunscreen will close as well.

I also would like to have sunscreen always open. I like to leave sunroof tilted, but when I lock door I can't fold mirrors and leave sunroof tilted. When you press 2sec lock on key, mirrors start folding, and sunroof closes and starts closing sunscreen. Annoying but I hope it can somehow changed trough diagnostic tool. I didn't saw any MFD setup option.

Not a problem for us lesser mortals who have the standard set up with a tin roof :giggle:

Seriously though in one of my sadder moments reading the manual online and looking at all the toys my S spec wont have I think a read that there is a sensor that adjusts the cover depending on how sunny/warm it is. To quote the Yeti forum- RTFM B)

Believe you have to un-check the rain closing option in the Maxidot (as mentioned above) to stop the blind closing, from conversations on the subject in the Yeti forum.

But ... I for one would like the windows and the sunroof to close automatically when it starts to rain, but not the damn blind... The tint in the sunroof is more than enough to kill of the sun at my latitude at least (58-63N) :)

So you're not quite happy with the panoramic roof after all thnp? :p

Kim here btw...

kimmert: welcome to the forums :)

I'm actually very happy with the sun-roof over all; just being a bit picky considering the (damned) blind-thingy :D
