Another feature we missed out on?

Featured Replies

Just been browsing eBay.de, and I've come across this Fabia RS.

I've just noticed the armrest in the rear seats. Was this standard spec on the continent that we missed out on in the UK, or was it a specable option?

I bet that would've had a ski hatch thro' the backrest as well...B**** don't remember seeing that on any options listing in the UK :S

Along with the rear electric windows :(

I think our early Elegance models had that.

*******s to them for discontinuing them though

Grrr... *Shakes fist* :giggle:

Hmmmm.. If this was standard continent fit, then finding a scrapped French one and popping over on the Ferry could be a worth while trip..

I used to have an elegance with electric rear windows.. can't say I've missed them at all. Though it was nice opening the front passenger an inch and the rear drivers side also to get a nice non direct through breeze.

What I don't understand is how lesser spec models to the vrs have more standard features than the vrs like the elegance having heated seats and rear electric windows standard !!!

Didn't the Elegance cost more though?

The Elegance isn't lower spec to the VRS, it's the top of the standard range going from basic to luxury.

The VRS is a sporting model of the Fabia range, not the top spec. Kind of a stand-alone model for hot hatch fans.

could you not retro fit the elegance rear electric windows if you found a scrap one in a breakers? i always wondered why rear electric windows weren't standard on the vrs model...not that i be in the back seat of my cars very often, just be nice to have. that arm rest in the back is also a nice touch...i want one now :giggle:

You'd need the wiring loom and the new switch panel to go in the door as well.

Might not be a straight forward job.

well that sucks :( lol aw well not to worry, that sounds like to much effort for them probably never to be used lol

Yep, as said - the vRS isn't the top spec model at all. Same with the Octavias, the Elegance and then L&K has more std kit.

On the original question, I've never seen one with an armrest before. Certainly wasn't an available option here.

That pictured one has the rear cupholder as well, that was std on the UK Fabia Elegance. Another think that technically wasn't available on the vRS - although it's easily fitted :)
