Featured Replies

How can i check the air inlet temps with VAG COM, i am talking about the temps after the intercooler, this is so i can compare the standard setup against a CAI or bigger IC.

would be nice to know actually, am having one of them big shiny fmic's myself soon so would be nice to see what affect it would have

If no one can give us the info, i will try to get chance to test all the options sometime tomorrow. I'll post back here if i find it.

Vag-Com controller 01 (engine) log group 7 gives you fuel temp, fuel cooling state (which I've never logged as anything other than "off"), intake air temperature and coolant temperature.

The attached spreadsheet shows the engine variables you can log on a Fabia - but only 3 groups at a time. I've been looking at the rate at which the intake air temperature cools down after an acceleration event. Nothing conclusive so far, but I've got data for a standard vRS if you want it for comparison.

Thanks mate, i'll check those out tomorrow if i get a chance. Will be interesting to see how much differance a FMIC makes, or even a water spray system if anyone has one fitted to show the results.
