fitting RARB?

Featured Replies

How easy is it to fit one of the whiteline etc rarb? I am quite confident when it comes to basic mechanics is it straight forward to carry out at home on axel stands? Or is it a garage with a ramp job?

I am thinking about buying one of these as they seem to get a good review on here about vastly improveing the handleing, which size is best to go for? My car is running stock suspension with 18" audi rs4 alloys

22mm adj mate is a damn good match for the 19mm std front bar.

Piddle to fit unlike the Neuspeed. Its just 2 U clamps that go over ther beam and the bar is held on with a bracket.

Will take you longer to jack the car and lower it again than it will to fit the bar.

Best thing you can do to these cars mate, will give you more peasure to drive on country roads than a remap.

+1 Billy is right,

I fitted mine on my own in June 08'. I used 2 very long tywraps to suspend it roughly in position making it easier to centralise it, fit the u clamps

to the exisiting beam assembly and fit the drop links. Totally transforms the handling you wont regret it  .

Do they work aswell on the standard suspension or are they better when coilovers are fitted?

Iam trying to do a mod at a time if you know what i mean, rarb then coilovers, just want to know if i am better doing it the other way round coilovers first then rarb?

Works fine with std susp. All you will add is better cornering while keeping the OE ride compfort. Bar first. See what you think the see if you really want coilovers on.

This is worth a look, the 24mm bar...

Linky....

Works out cheaper this way too, as you don't waste money on collies unless you really want them. I had collies done first and didn't notice much difference apart from a £600 hole in the wallet. The original suspension was in good condition so didn't really need replacing. Car does look better lowered though. RARB made a huge difference.
