Best place to send a Turbo for rebuild

Featured Replies

Looks like the oil seals on the vRS of doom are finally giving out, with it guzzling a litre of black stuff in the last 700 miles alone. Dealer says it's fine until 600 miles/l, but for a petrol engine? That must take it to the point where it'd be verging on self destruction, which is fine if they're trying to sell you a new one but...

Anyway, the boost also started to flutter a bit the other day before the light came on so I reckon it's time for a rebuild. I know a few names have been discussed in the past, but I wondered what the current recommendations were for solid, cost effective work - preferably with collect & return?

Ta for the tip :) Will be pulling it tomorrow as part of project 'get this heap of crap working properly for once in its life' so if it looks like the wear is mild I'll give him a shout :)

I've personally used Turbo Technics and Turbo Dynamics. Couldn't fault the service from either.

Also heard good things about AET too.

Good luck with it emoticon-0148-yes.gif
