intermitant speedo

Featured Replies

HI Guys just bought an Octavia 1.8 Turbo on an X plate.I have an intermitant fault on instruments when i start it runs ok, but I have no speedo, temp and fuel guage or rev counter. I can be driving down the road and suddenly they come to life for a short while then go back to zero. could it be an ECU problem?

It'll be dry joints on the 2 voltage regulators on the dashboard cluster. If you do a search on here there is a guide on repair.

Forgot to say if you pull fuse 5 the speedo etc will work but the trip & time will reset every time you start the car.
