Top tip is to rinse the car down to remove this excess polish or tape up the areas you don't want to get polish on?

I assume the polish is inbetween panel gaps and maybe on the rubbers and plastic trim?

I managed not to get polish in gaps and stuff (ok may be a bit) its all the dust from the polish, I thought about giving it a rinse but my missus was giving me grief for spending 5 hours cleaning the outside of the car :giggle:

I now have bird crap on my roof and the dust looks even worse but i did not drive the car since I cleaned it. I will try to wash it today

At this time of year dust/pollen settles on the car really quickly, so could try a quick detailer spray like Finishkare 425 which has anti static propertys in it which helps stop the dust sticking to the paint work and leaves a cracking finish to the paint

Rinse it off (I'm asuming its in nooks and cranies of the body work) and dry with a drying towel.

I thought it was left over dust from the polish but there seems to be a lot of dust in the air and my car was covered in a fine white dust. I have washed my car again and polished with Turtle Wax ICE which does give a good shine and after an hour or so my car was covered with a fine dust, it is really annoying.

Near some trees?? Maybe pollen.... happens to mine at the moment :S

Well done to the OP but its not really a detail is it??? :wonder: What about the alloys, use something like Megs Wheel Brightner and then seal or wax them. Then there is the exhaust tips with something like Megs Metal Polish. You might want to try less wax if your getting dusting and get some Last Touch for lube/wipe down. Its also worth getting something to seal the glass which helps to keep them clean. Keep it up!
