I have seen these mentioned on another forum. Part number 079130757. Has anybody fitted one to their Octy and what are the benefits?

On a side note, how is the Furby going?

no idea mate, its @ mansfield with shark performance still. We had a change of plan and its going stage 2 straight away, so i left it with him, hes got it until June at the latest to develop the maps for it

Shouldn't need it for stage 1. I never liked the idea of putting the fuel pump under more pressure, I'd consider 130 bar enough at stage 3 personally.

it relieves pressure off the injectors though, and with them being one of the restrictions for the K03 it can only be good surely.

Do agree no requirement at stage 1, but for stage 2+ i think its worthwhile

I fitted one a few months ago...can't say I felt any performance difference that others claim to have seen and a real PITA job!

I'm fitting one of these soon. I did logs last night and my fuel high pressure isn't keeping up with the requested 130 by -8 at most.

Another mod Harry!

I think I will fit it when the weather is better as it looks to be a pig to fit if you've not done it before!

Where is it actually located?

It is under the inlet manifold on the right hand side near to the injectors. There is picture and a brief how to guide on here

Ok cheers.

I don't think I'll be giving that a go though, I'd rather pay someone to do it properly :p

Here are the logs I did the other night:

As you can see it isn't meeting the requested pressure so it warrants buying the RS4 Valve.

Also here are the boost logs, I'm amazed that it is requesting 2500mbar which is 36PSI? Seems very high?!

Harry you need to subtract ambient pressure from that. Usually around 1000mbar. :)

Ah I see sorry for my n00bness  Thanks

seems strange that your uprated fuel pump cant make requested, as thats what their design is.

This is an example graph of a before and after rail pressure on a car. stock vs autotech.

i think you could have something else causing this issue as yours is consistently under achieving there. the RS4 valve wil very likely help, but the uprated pump shouldnt be struggling like that. What settings are you running? Do some logs of your AFR, if your maxed out on your settings and the uprated pump cant supply the fuel you could be running very lean hence very hot which might be bad news.

is this the same pump that you used on the old engine for it popped?

It is the same pump Sy.

I've ordered a new cam follower with the RS4 valve. I've not checked it for a while so it could be warn down a bit. Last one went in about 6k ago.

My Revo settings are B8 T6 F9. There is no timing pull on any of the cylinders.

I'll try and do some AFR logs later on tonight.

running the boost to high will also put additional stress on the HPFP as well as your fuel settings. after you log that try the rail pressure logs again but with the settings wound back to B8T6F8 or B7T6F8. that way you can see if your running your car to hard which i think could be a contributing issue.
