Delivery of MY12

Featured Replies

Salesman advised me today that our order has gone back from Wk18 Build to Wk25, after it had been stable around Wk18 for a while, without batting an eyelid (this was the first time he had broken the news to me emoticon-0106-crying.gif ). I guess the upside is that this means we'll get a MY12 Build car ?

So CR170 Elegance in Candy White, with heated screen, spare tyre and TPM as extra, what should I expect from the new MY12 build - good or bad overall ?

I'm handing our car in on Tuesday and going for the Skoda loan car for the remaining period, rather than take anymore depreciation

When did you order your car?

When did you order your car?

Wk50 2010 (week before Xmas). :dull:

Ordered mine exactly then - near identical spec - must ring up SUK tomorrow to get my latest build date (It was wk19 last time I enquired) - I suspect it will now be as per your date.

I was mellow with the Wk19 date, but now just getting frustrated

My problem is that the Fabia we are trading in has a crisis after 25 June :-

Road tax due

Service due

MOT due

Roadside assistance expires

Warranty expires.

I did not expect nor do I want to have to deal financially with any of the above factors. Will need to negotiate with the dealer for a loan car (Probably the Fabia we now own ??) from 25 June onwards.

Skoda are honouring Loan cars for orders over 18 weeks - I'm hopefully punting in the Passat tomorrow for a loan car until the Yeti arrives, as I do not want to keep paying for a car that is depreciating further than I had planned for.

I thought that was the case. I don't have a depreciation problem as the trade in price has been fixed (albeit a bit low) for whenever the Yeti is due. However I don't want to face any expenses due when the Fabia reaches 3 years old - hence will need a loan car at that point for that reason.

Hi,

did start to look at changes to part numbers to identify 'improvements' to the Yeti My link Sadly my copy of the parts book got corrupted and stopped working but there to be changes in gearboxes but no detail other than a new identification code, the climate control panel is due an update of some description as is the electrical system data bus.

Hope that's of some help,

TP

I have just now rung Skoda UK and got some good news. Build week is wk18 and HAS been confirmed - so it looks as if all my worries may be over. Should be ready for our holiday to NW Scotland in June.

:wonder: This additional 5 week delay is somewhat suspicious, given you have a now confirmed date of Wk18.

I came home with a loan Roomster this afternoon (what a great panoramic sunroof), but I have to take it back as it has ECU warning lights on. :dull:

I must confess that I was very surprised. I fully expected to be running in parallel with you. After I had told her, my sales Lady said she was aware of the situation and would be looking out for my car. Things are running in the opposite direction with me now with having to hurry on some minor admin tasks to cater for a slightly sooner than expected event !!

I wouldn't have minded trying a roomster like you have done.
