My fabia has developed a loud vibrating noise when the fans are on, even with air con.

I think the noise is coming from behind the glove box, but I've opened up the filter and nothing was there. Even tried to fit my hands up inside to see if there was something stuck but my hands are too big.

I've tried putting a flexi-crevice tool on a vacuum to try and fish anything out but no joys.

It was fine earlier today, drove for about an hour with aircon on 2 and it was great, parked up and went back into the car about 2 hours later and its making a loud racket.

I removed as much of the glove box as I could, the three screws in it and two below, but couldnt get the airbag cable off to fully remove it, and still couldn't find anything.

Does anyone have any idea's or a guide how to fix it? Normally a quick clean of the air filter is enough but it was spotless. I changed it in November.

There's a guide somewhere. In brief turn fans on max and put recirc on (engine running), now turn engine off. This opens recirc flap. Remove glovebox and you can now access the fan's blades.
