panel filter noise

Featured Replies

if i were to drop a pipercross panel filter into the air box would it make much difference in noise?

it already in 2nd gear onwards whistles hard when on boost and i can hear the standard dump valve dumping.

i take thats a recirc?

im only on a small budget so if i were to do this and maybe and some extra cold air feed from the bottom would this be ok?

Being fair not many panel filters will make extra induction noise, as its the design of the air filter box that dulls the sound. If you want a bit more induction noise then why not fit a CAI. You would find you may get a bit more induction noise by fitting a large bore down pipe as that would allow the turbo to spool up quicker and suck in more air. It all depends on how much you want to spend?

Err whistles hard?? Last time i checked that usually means you've got a air leak or a chipped blade on your turbo. I've got a CAI and i can hear the intake and when it dumps but a whistle from the turbo would be worrying

If i was you I'd check all your hoses m8
