Featured Replies

Hi,

I want to know if using coming home/leaving home feature with hids is bad in the long run? i got after market hids on my FL octavia,

dunno if i should use the fog lamps or hids for CH/LH, any inputs?

Thanks,,

Fogs emoticon-0148-yes.gif

HID's do not like being turned on for short periods

I have this done to my car and actually find it better as it lights up around the front of the car brilliantly emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Get cornering lights enabled for your fogs.

Can this be enabled pre FL? I have CH/LH enabled and don't really like them firing up my xenons everytime.

Yes

Do you know how? I have looked through VCDS and can't seem to find any coding.

I have activated the fogs for ch/lh lights, they are nice & spread the light to the front of the car well :)

I'm waiting for a screenshot showing the coding too, because this is news to me on a pre-FL :)

until i can find someone here who knows how to code the CH/LH to use the foggies instead of the xenons, i'm leaving them disabled.

With Fogs here too. Have a look but mine is FL Scout.

Yes, this isn't a problem to code with an FL example, as it has a different version of the convenience model.

It's not possible with a pre-FL, unless someone (silver1011?) can provide information and screenshots to the contrary.

Steve

There is definitely someone on here that has claimed to have been able to activate their front fogs to perform the role of CH / LH on a pre-FL.

It stuck in my mind as I too have a pre-FL with xenon's and wanted to do the same.

Unfortunately I can’t remember who it was, all I know is that it was a silver pre-FL vRS.

I’ll take a look at my previous posts to see if I can find their username…

So the yes is perhaps a maybe.... ;)

Now that very much depends on whether or not you believe everything you read on forums :p

About pre-FL CH/LH with fogs - not so much!

:D

Possibly emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I think alberg's Octavia is a FL, the grey area seems to be is it possible to activate the fogs on a pre-FL.

I've had a good look for the post where it was discussed in length but alas can't find it, maybe I was mistaken.

Yes mine is a FL.

Mine also has the week 22 changes of 2010 and the corner lights will not activate with the blinker.

Still haven´t managed to find out why. Others after week 22 have the same issue.

Forgive me for sounding dim. But is it possible to enable "cornering foglights" with standard headlights on a FL Elegance equipped with CL/LH facility?

Happy to receive the help.

Just to let you know that like CEPI replied on post #11, I also have ticked BYTE 17 BITE 0, and still does not work~.

It works only with steering wheel, either left/right over 90º angle.

If their is something dif. PM me

Thanks
