Should I Get A New Wheel Aligment After Loweringsprings?

Featured Replies

When fitting lowering springs in the front it should increase chamber.. wouldnt it?

So do I really need a wheel aligment (spelling?) ?

If anyone knows, whats the original aligment setup? toe-in, caster, chamber dive and so on .. for the RS?

How much more chamber do you think I should have ?

For faster turnin and more grip on trackdays and so on...

Don't know original settings... or optimum settings.... but I guess getting an alignment done would be a good idea. Dont know where you are based but if you are near Micheldever i would recommend going there - you can tell them what sort of setup you are after and they can make the adjustments for you there and then :)

Mattias,

Yes you should get it checked. I have the settings at home (they are from the dealer workshop manual). I can put the numbers up tonight if you want.

Are you sure?

Yes

Getting a full wheel alignment check carried out could be cheaper than finding out from tyre wear that the alignment is wrong.

Absolutely :)

I was wrong its caster that can't be adjusted  serves me right for going from memory.

Just going to put copies of the workshop data sheets in another thread.

BEWARE THEY WILL NOT BE DIAL UP FRIENDLY!
