I have a VCDS HEX+CAN interface and VCDS 10.6.4.

I have tried in on both my 2006 Octavia and my housemate's 2000 S6 and it works perfectly.

However I've been trying to get the code for a check engine light on a 2004 Impreza STI, but the generic OBD communication option doesn't talk to it.

I also tried it on a 2011 Astra and had the same issue.

I understand communication with non VAG vehicles isn't officially supported but is there any way to get it to work? An option somewhere that I've missed.

Both vehicles make the LED on the interface green and get K1 and K2 comms (but no CAN) when tested.

Is there any other software that I can download that will work through the VCDS cable?

I think Vauxhall's use a different protocol that isn't supported by the VAG COM lead.
