Finally finished Half Life 2...

Featured Replies

After about two week's of being totally absorbed in it every evening, I have finally finished the masterpiece that is Half-Life 2, what can I say about it, bloody brilliant game, amazing stiryline, excellent graphics, atmospheric sound, top character and level design, totally absorbing, not sure how many hours it took me, needless to say I will be going through it again, rushed through some bits that I want to spend a little longer on 2nd time round. Anyone else enjoy it as much as I did?

Amazing storyline?

Thought it was poor tbh.

Part from that it was superb.

I love that kind of Orwellian futuristic type stuff, what was the craic with all the human pods a la the Matrix?

Keep nipping in for a few mins...just at the capping the generators stage...

Got a wierd bug that seems to hang the game / pc when I go for pistol (fave weapon :( )

Only happens after a few mins of play...very very confused, no other weapon or key combo does it.

Maybe I'll be able to finish it using the smg, feels like cheating though.

Did anybody else try and slay al the hover things after the radio active matter?

Improved my aim, untill I ran out of ammo and pegged it under the bridge...do'h.

I was playing it first time through with wide excited eyes, taking everything in but at the same time trying to get to the end to see what happens, as I always do with games like this, I never learn, so will go through again and take it a little slower, I bought a book detailing all the areas where the suited man makes appearances, observing you from a distance, so want to see if I can spot him. I saw him once standing on the quayside at the dam/ hovercraft section, something eerie about seeing a figure watching you from afar...

I'm still only half way through... same old story... get a game, love it, play it half way through, never gets played again. Its more to do with me not being able to be @rsed to play games on a night and never being in at weekends... anyone wanna buy a Geforce 6800 GT? (j/k)

i've given up,played it for about 3 nights and got so wound up of not knowing wtf i was doing haven't played it since.i should get it out and give it another go.haven't even found a weapon yet :(

I recommend downloading a walkthrough, trust me on this ;)

OK, so I know that might be considered as cheating by some, but its no fun faffing around for hours trying to find out what to do sometimes.

got a link of where i could get one?having spent 2 hours stacking boxes onto each other to get out of a window ,then being beaten to death with no form of defense was what peed me off

try www.gamefaqs.com, go to to the PC Section and look for the alphabetical game listing, loads of stuff on there...

cheers ;)
