Engine Electronics Fuse No34 Blowing

Featured Replies

Hi All,

i'm new to this forum and a first time skoda owner 1.4(AXP) 01. there are a few problem with the car which i new before i bought but there one that's worring me. firstly i would like some help/advise please with a few issues which i think are the problems/solutions

1 Engine light On....enxhaust loose and rattling maybe lambda/o2 sensor faulty. my mate was told that it was the CAT (hope not)!!!

2 Temp Gauage goes to zero from 90 and back up to 90....faulty temp sensor(the green type with the black clip ?)

3 Fan doesn't seem to come on.... Temp sensor (from 2 above) not giving signal to ECU to turn on FAN ? car does not overheat stays at 90.

4 No radio reception...radio knackered

now the big one...

5 fuse no 34 10A engine electronics constantly blowing when engine is started.

the car seems to drive ok, doesnt overheat. and is a lovely drive. i have a very limited budget to get this car thu its NCT and any help would be greatly appriceated....

cheers

2. Is it just the temp guage which drops to zero, or all guages? If the latter then a dry joint on the voltage regulator for the dash PCB is most likely to blame

3. Try turning the aircon on, this should engage both rad fans (confirms the fans work as a starting point)

4. Aftermarket headunit? Needs a power injector to supply power to amplifier in the base of the aerial plate.

Are you sure it is fuse 34 that is blowing?

u need to get a wiring diagram and see what else is on the circuit of that fuse

get a bulb holder wire up two connectors with wires and put it in the fuse that keeps blowing this will control the voltage

then look at ur wiring diagram and start disconecting the components that take a feed from that fuse

when the bulb goes out u know its something to do with the component or wiring of the last one u disconnected
