Antenna booser problem

Featured Replies

Hi!

My radio reception has been bad ever since I bought the car, so I have tried to fit in a new booster behind the stereo.

It looks like this:

But I cant figure out where the blue cable can be plugged in, I guess its for the +12V?

Its the original Skoda Symphony stereo.

The purpose of that adaptor is to send a 12v feed to the amplifier in the base of the aerial. This feed comes as standard from the factory head unit and the adaptor is only required when replacing your stereo with an after Market unit.

Assuming your stock head unit is sending out 12v as it should, this adaptor won't help you.

Thanks for the reply!

I guess that the internal antenna amplifier under the base is broken, so I thought this would help a little bit even if it would be best to replace the base amp.

The seller also said this was the issue, so do you still think this will help to get better reception?

Regards
