For those with Milltek and Blueflame set up

Featured Replies

There are far too many thread's on here In relation to the above. However, I have only managed to find about three video clips showing what they sound like and I'm now asking can anyone post video's of there set up?

I'm mainly swaying toward's the Milltek cat-back (would love turbo-back but lack of funds atm) so I really want some proper video's or sound clips of what they sound like!

If anyone can hook me up that would be greatly appreciated as I know this has already been covered :giggle:

TBH, they only make a difference under full chat, even then, its not like a petrol, only a slight drone. I`d bet that all Cat backs sound near enough identical, only a decat or mufflerectomy will make much extra noise

Yeah so I've heared Matt. I'm not after anything overly loud as I've been there and quite enjoy It being refined but I like the Idea of hearing the turbo more and the chatter.

Tempted to go mufflerectomy but I've not heared enough of them to know If I likey.

when you hear about people talking about straight through exhausts on remapped cars and possibly damaging the turbo with overboost, do mufflerectomys fall into this catagory? is it possible to replace the standard cat with say a hi flow cat but still keep the original set up, ie backbox etc? and would this affect the sound and would it damage the turbo?

cheers

It`s a tricky one. I`v watched no end of video`s for my mrs car (fiesta st) to find one i like, but the same exhasut can sound so different in two separate videos.

On my fabia i`v got a scorpion cat back, sound standard till you boot it, then it goes into a deep drone. Sounds nice, and just what i was after. My mate has a miltek full system & decat, it really does sound great, lots of turbo noise, lots of loudness, nice and deep. Alot of money, but worth it if thats what your after. I`m considering one after the rest of the to do list is done.

Can only totally agree with you on that! Been scouring youtube and the likes the past two days to see what I like haha.

Matt do you have a video of the scorpion set up? I am tempted by the full system however I just do not have the fund's available for an exhaust as I plan to move out this summer. Maybe an Idea to get the Milltek cat-back the now and then at a later stage get the sports cat and down pipe!

Cheers

Not managed to get a video, although i think they have discontinued it now. I was considering getting the cat back, then the decat/sports cat at a later date. Also, another pro for the miltek is its the only one which has a larger bore, the rest are the same size as a standard one i think. Wont make much difference till your looking at 250bhp + but might help on the noise front?

Matt

Can confirm mine sounds the same. Great deep note from it. I love it

is that me or another mate Matt?

haha, the full system was £450 fitted from Unit18, can't recommend Ali enough

sounds great too!

Fabia vRS, TD MD376, Milltek Decat + Cat back. Poor quality video / sound though :-(

It is still a tractor :) Tractor noise reverberates as the drive has a big fence and wall either side, and car port roof.

First time I have actually heard my exhaust from the outside. I didn't even realise I got a subtle hint of spool down noise!

iv got a standard exhaust with a decat pipe, sounds nice when giving it some. gonna get rid of the backbox and replace with some stainless tube sometime this week so hopefully it will sound nice then :)

My miltek seems louder tbh but mine is turbo back and not standard lol but i would go with a miltek its the nicest sounding exhaust i think u can get for the fabia in my opinion.

Give unit 18 a call possibly the best price about.

What u mean jus cat back system?

It does sound quite nice, as mentioned nice and quiet but when u hit the loud pedal it's sounds really nice, quite a deep note.

You still have the cat in place yes or a sports cat?

Placing an order when I get paid on the 20th, cheapest I can find is about £310 delivered.

I have a sports car in place
