Hi Everybody

Hi Everybody,

My name's Richard (hence the name Dickeyboy) and I join your ranks as an owner of a (lowly) 99 Octavia 2.0 SLXI which I have bought as a family car. I have only had it a week. Lovely car but already the engine management light has come on and im crying like a baby that I've bought a spanner! Got it booked in with Autosales in Bilston this week so hopefully it's noting more than a moody sensor and i'll have many years of trouble free motoring.

Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you all!

Hello :wavey:

I hope you get your car sorted soon.

Welcome! midlander then? I use Auosales Cannock and they have been great.Hope Bilston sort you out.

Hello and Welcome:D

Welcome on board

hi and welcome to briskoda :)

hello and welcome to the mad house

Dont worry 2.0 engine management lights are quite common, doesnt usually amount to a great problem, more than likely a faulty air mass meter or possbily a lambda probe.

Nice to see you here and your new car has a good spec. Let us know how you get on having the fault/light cleared.

Welcome to briskoda.
