I've always wanted to upgrade my tiny brakes on my Fabia Sport to something like the ones found on the RS or the TDi (288 I think)

Are there any sites that could help me find such kits for a correct upgrade? Apparently the ones found on a Cupra FR will do too.

Easiest way is to try to get used ones from the FABIA vRS1 or the FABIA vRS2. Another way to do it is to go for the brakes on a Octavia vRS1 (312mm brakes) =D!

Presuming you have 256mm front discs then you will need the Fabia vRS hubs to upgrade to Fabia vRS 288mm front brakes. These hubs would also accomodate the 312mm set-up if you wanted.

There is a very long list of vehicles which has the same hubs as the Fabia vRS (Golf, Leon, Polo, Bora.........) The best place to look would be Ebay. It may be a worthwhile putting a wanted ad on here, there is a user breaking a Mk1 vRS, maybe try him for a complete Hub/Caliper/Carrier/Discs/Pads package?

Does this mean that any hub with 288mm brakes and 5x100 from any Golf, Leon, Polo etc will fit? It doesn´t have to be from a GTI or something? What about the splines on the driveshaft? It fits?

Apparently the best choices for us are from Ibiza Cupra, FR or any 20VT and of course from any diesel Fabia or vRS. I believe that with VWs there is an issue with the ABS sensor and it doesn't work properly - ie the dashboard lights up like a christmas tree.
