Hi all.

I'm new here and need advice.

I have a Skoda Octavia Mk2 1.6 FSI and last week start a problem with cooling fan.

It's start running straight after the engine is turn on even the engine is still cold.

And it's still running after the engine is turned off it's running for about 10 minutes.

In those 10 minutes is running in two speeds quickly and slowly.

This switch in two speeds is about every 20 seconds, sometimes longer.

I read the forums and I didn't found the answer. It's the big fan that still runs the a/c is off.

Yesterday on the dashboard came on warning engine light , so I took the car to the garage and vag

show only fan, what is not surprising me after he ran three hours. So they check everything and didn't

found any fault.

They said, then can try to replace the cooling fan 175 pounds, but errors can be elsewhere.

If anyone knows where can be the fault, please let me know. I do not want to completely discharged battery.

I change both fans, large and small.

Now when I start engine, both fans after 5 seconds

start running. I switch engine off, but both fans

has been running for another 10 minutes.

Air con has been off.

What I learn- I bought two expensive fans and

problem is somewhere else.

Any idea where?

Thank you when my 1.9 tdi 07 was year old fan was on all time even

middle of winter.took to dealer they said needed new wiring

harness,they fitted it and job done naver happened again
