Maxidot freezes on audio and navigation until Columbus switched off.

I have exactly the same issue - I've got a 3T0 model (2010) with f/w 3800 and everything works fine other than getting out of navigation/radio once you've gone into it in MFD; like you, I have to switch the Columbus off in order to do so.

Do these modified f/w versions work OK with maps 7.1? I've got 7.1 installed and I wouldn't like to goose it by installing a lower f/w.

I started off with 2724 which was on it from new, I put v7 maps on and they worked fine together, 7 digit postcodes etc. I think it says version 7333 in the secret menu bit for the map disc I used.

I then went to the modified for Octavia 2764 and the maps were still there on the drive and working as before after the update plus I can get in and out of the audio and navigation menus. Thats all I've gained from it. There are two opinions in the replies though as to whether or not the wiper stalk button should do more.

What firmware are you thinking about trying? Is there a modified 3800 or anything?

Any newer modified FW that will work fine with pre-face lift OIIs?
