Ultra wide angle and non fisheye

Featured Replies

Picked the Sigma 12-24 off ebay for a decent price as I'd been after some ultra wide angle that was full frame compatible. Oh boy, it's insanely wide!

It certainly takes some getting used to and as soon as you go off perfectly straight, all verticals converge LOL!

Will take some vid in a moment. Could be trippy!

Some nice pics there, Seems that lens could be handy for the ongoing photo competition....

I'm short, but not that short :giggle:

Wanted to give the impression of speed even though it's only a walking pace, in fact, arguably a very slow walking pace for a normally sized person LOL

I really want to get my hands on a Sigma 10-20 the picture quality is just so nice from it and it gives you such a wide angle to work with with minimal distortian.

If you aren't using a full frame camera the Sigma 8-16mm is getting rave reviews. Several reviewers calling it Sigmas best lens bar none! Try Googling it and read the reviews, it is very wide and has nice straight verticals/suprisingly low distortion to boot. IQ is very high too :)

I can't believe the price of glass!

I've got a Nikon Nikkor 14-24 2.8 and a Nikkor 16mm FishEye - and LOVE them both - altho the zoom sometimes feels a little useless!!

My good'old 10.5mm Nikkor has just retired; altho i've been shooting full-frame for a few years now, i've just got round to changing! (DX crop of a Nikon D3x, still give in excess of 10mp)

I know what you mean Al. I get the same feeling, and have an extra 2mm over the awesome Nikkor version!

Still great fun though. Looking forward to taking a few shots in Paris at some time. :)
