Hello peeps,

Picking up my new sssb and ive been reading a few bits and bobs how to fit. But my main question was the torque wrench! I have pretty much every other tool in my arsenal bar a Torque Wrench (I know will buy one shortly) It seems that people torque the bolts on the tower to 25nm my question is will I achieve the same level of tightness with a normal socket set? As 25nm does not seem that much??

Any advice would be perfect!

I just tightened mine up using a socket set.

I went for as tight as I could reasonably get them by hand and then

a further quarter turn using more effort. I'd also advise using some copper slip when you

re fit the bolts. They were quite hard to undo and there was some corrosion on

the threads. wire brushed and copper slip did the trick and they went back in much easier.

Tight is tight too tight is fubard

You may find you'll require new strut top mounts as the retaining nuts like to spin
