Thanks Scott

just need to work out if I keep it as a line drawing or (as in the golf ones in post #1) I try to fill the shading of various sections

Then theres print colour and shirt colour.

oh decisions decisions!

working on the basis of the golf ones above and purely cos my vrs is red i've managed to cobble this together

Skoda-Fabia2.jpg

Obviously needs to be finished and might need a bit more shading but it's not bad at all (although i guess I would say that!!)

Anything glaringly obvious (bar the rear tyre) that i've missed or it needs?

That looks awesome, think that would look good on a White shirt with the different car colours available

do you do your line drawings on illustrator or photoshop? i dont know what tool people use as my photoshop elements 2.0 doesnt appear to have a conjoining line tool, hmm

All my work aboce is done in Illustrator using the pen tool and the joy of incredibly annoying drag-able nodes to sort out the curves.

Everything has been individually drawn and created as closed paths where possible.

is there still a roll eyes smilie?

Alloys

Agree.

i'm using this picture of the car in motion as a base

skoda-fabia-rs.jpg

so the detail of the alloy shape is lost but was gunna at in curves to indicate motion

Interior lol

as above the original image is of a LHD italian car with a woman driving so gunna struggle to get the details in

much easier to leave the windows as blanks :p

What if the windows were black?

@PastyBoy i have been playing about with illustrator, how does the draw work? when you create a line, a 3 dotted line appears and you selct from thos dots to continue drawing? confusing stuff.

Cliff - how about a little detail in the headlights? if you look at the golf ones there is some light shading, or you could just give it xenons like the picture. Maybe make the tyres slightly wider too? Also make the aerial shorter :p other than that looks great

not for me

yeah super confusing.

using the pen tool you click then click again to do a straight line.

a curved line is done by clicking then clicking and dragging

yeah i need to sort the finer details (shading and such)

I think the line drawing is good but some details should make it B)

I have the official skoda fabia vrs one so i thought i would share it with you for ideas...

Thanks Static

looks pretty much like exactly the same as what i have done

I've let Illustrator do it's thing with tracing the jpeg into vector shapes in 16 different colours and then been selective with the ones i've kept and the ones i've got rid of and combined with my recreated bits.

Better?

Worse?

Or indifferent?

Skoda-Fabia4.jpg

doesnt look too bad, think something should be done with the tyres though, rear wheel just doesnt look right to me as it is

As on page one of this thread, the second t-shirt down with the mk1 Golf GTI - i'd like to see something like this. A static vRS, with some detail etc, no frumpy girls driving or speeding wheels we can't tell what it is lol

To be honest i kidn of gave up on this as the level of detail I wasnted seemed to be a long long way away from what i could be bother to acheieve and it seemed to not be to everyones taste anyways.

However a kind volunteer has put this together

fabiadone.jpg

Assuming we can get it eidtted back to a single flat colour is it better, worse or indifferent?

that would look great on a black tshirt i think or even a white one to be honest
