Pressurising snow foam

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I thought the other day... snow foam works by pressurising the fluid to create the dense foam and for this convenience we need to have a jet washer of a certain make £50 upwards and a special bottle £50 upwards all to use a bottle of stuff that costs £5.99.

Well would an £11 alternative work? A garden pressure bottle is able to create a fair bit of pressure so ideally would create the foam and have better control than a jet washer.

I think that it is more to do with the pressure of the water flowing out - ie the speed of the water....The speed then creates a suction on the foam bottle which draws up and mixes the fluid and then 'foams' up as it hits the air.

so in a word, no, i don't think it would work!

I have a pressure washer detergent bottle which I filled with snow foam, attached to my Nilfisk C.120, no cigar, attached the HD snow foam lance with the same quantity of snow foam and volia!

Hmmm think you should have held back on the foam there LOL

A 500ml bottle goes a long way!

A foamer bottle works by forcing pressurised water throught a jet which it designed to suck both air and snow foam concentrate into the stream. The quality and volume of the foam produced is dependent on the design of the jet.

Even if you could create consistant foam using a pressure bottle, it would take you 10 times as long to foam a car and you would use more concentrate.

This is what I would recommend http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/elite-heavy-duty-foam-lance-6-types-of-fitment-and-free-1l.php?cPath=82
