picked up monte carlo

Featured Replies

hi, we picked up our monte carlo on monday. cant drive it yet due to op, but my wife says its brilliant. ordered on 2 may, wanted sat nav and sunroof, but was told it would be at least sept/oct for delivery!! a quick check on the computer showed there was a red one in grimsby, just about to be unloaded. it was the red we wanted, so for the sake of a couple of options, we said yes. its our first new car and the dealership was brilliant. carrs skoda in indian queens cornwall. have been around your site for about a month now and you all seem vary helpful and friendly.

any other monte's in cornwall?? we have only seen one other, (silver)

sorry no pic as dont know how. but you all know what they look like.

the only small gripe i have is that the rear wheels look lost in the wheel wells, and not a fan o 40 series tyres either, but thats a small matter.

Enjoy it went it arrives, shame about the nav and sunroof though, I personally wouldn't spec the roof as they only leak but love the nav on mine you could always retro I guess

to be honest, i can live without the nav, most of our phones have google maps etc, and am glad we didnt gett he sunroof as the gloss black roof is gorgeous. the one thing i might look into is, upgrading the climate control. the basic one just looks out of place and extremely dated. not sure idf the wiring is there so i can plug and play it!!

sooo looking forward to driving it though, wish i had kept my hernia's for another month now.

my hernia's for another month now.

Hernia I've one but been told to live with it as long as possible although it's very painful mostly at night mines still internal pain just below the love sack lol, but I've learnt to love the pain or use an extremely hot flannel at the tunnel and pain becomes bearable lol

get it sorted, 1 or 2 days of pain and its fixed, pensioners were getting it done when i got mine sorted so if an old man can do it so can a younger one :p

But they do say if you get it done 2 early it can reoccur, I'm 50 so I'll wait a while yet, its worse if I eat bread though, dough lol

heres the car, as for Hernia's.

get it done, but be sure of what op your getting done!!

i was told it was keyhole and a couple of staples. i got 4 hours on the table and 16 staples. (they found a small one on the other side)

when the pain killers wear off its like being kicked in the jewels and the best bit, your peeing function goes away. glad its done though. but cant stand having a brand new car and listening to people rave about how good it is.

Congratulations on the car.

You have a bit of pain at the moment but you do live in the best part of the UK so it's not all bad.

We get down to Porth Beach once or twice a year, a 640mile round trip but we love it. (Although they ruined Newquay some years back)

Cheers

Lee

Does look good. In a way I wish the vRS doesn't get the black pack to keep the models looking different, not that mine gets it anyway as being built 2 weeks too early lol

Better half was going to have silver, but the extra £400 put us off, so went for the Red which I think looks the best :thumbup:
