Hello everyone I had my octavia for just over a month now, I believe the previous owners used the car for mostly motorway journeys because it has and unbelievable amount of stone chips on the bonnet and because it's black it's very visable.

I was just wondering from your experiences what's the best products for repairing them without for paying for a respray?

that looks like a good kit, but if your car looks like my car that would probably take ages, i use turtle wax colour magic black polish to cover them up.

Yes - a second vote for Turtle Wax Colour Magic Black. My previous car was an Octy Mk1 in Black Magic and the Colour Magic did a fantastic job (far better than the silver version does on my current Octy Mk2 :-( ...)

I can't find it on youtube now, but there is this putty stuff you can get from 3M which levels the surface, then you just dab in the paint afterwards. Kinda the same princple as that chipex. TBH chipex looks like it would do a pretty good job. Hopefully it gives you a lacquer in the pack.

Fix it and then wrap it to protect it.
