07 vrs Intermittent boost problems

Featured Replies

Hi guys I hope someone can help!? For the last few weeks I've been experiencing intermittenent boost problems on my octy vrs 07 (underboosting and random amounts of power) this has been mainly in warmer wether and accompanied with a growling noise and fairy high idling!! To top it off on 2 occasion whislt on the motoway the coil light has begun to flash and the car has gone in to limp mode, I've had the car to local garage who rang diagnostics but came up with nothing except seat beat warning! A friend has had a look and says there's oil coming from the turbo inlet pipe!? Does anyone know what all this means( as I've not got a clue) or experienced anything similar?

Id get someone to do some datalogging on the car and that should show what its up to and might point to the problem. It might be worth disconnecting the battery and leaving for an hour and then reconnect it. Sometimes ECUs can get confused and a simple on off might help? Failing that datalogging or a VAG specialist.

I would check the PCV first to make sure it hasn't broken up internally.
