electric back window off rail

Featured Replies

hi everyone how easy is it to put a electric window on a skoda octavia estate back on it's rail.its the rear window behind the driver.thanks in advance for any help..topnotch

The plastic clips that hold the window will have broken. Easy job to do just a bit fiddly. You can get a repair kit from a VAG dealer or TPS, which has metal clips that don't break.

thamnks for that,i took the door skin off today and yes the plastic clip had broke.do you no how much i'll have to pay for the replacement part.

The VAG repair kit includes the cables & pulley too & costs about £38, but I think you may be able to get the plastic type clips on Ebay.

Had the exact same problem with my -99 1.6i. So with the metal clips this recurring problem will stop?
