Lowest fabia thread

Featured Replies

Before we start, lets get things straight first. We all know lowering your fabia isnt big, or cleaver & it results in you turbo blowing, DMF letting go & your Mrs making you sleep on the sofa. However, nearly all cars look better for a healthy drop, some look even better scraping the floor, so if your into that thing this is the thread for you.

Right this was kinda started in another thread a while ago, but was kinda half baked. Sooooo, nice & simple, park on a nice even surface and measure your car from the floor to the middle (highest point) of the wheel arch. Then, come and post, bit of info, adding a picture to show how it sits. No point telling porkies so i`m not talking photo evidence lol

I`ll start off:

KW V1`s Basic`s

16" D90`s with 195/45 Tyres

Rear sits 58CM from the floor

Front sits 57.5CM from floor

Only driven a few miles since dropping it this much so couldnt say how much hastle i`ll get with bumps etc, liking the looks tho. :)

Excuse the bus damage to the rear :dull:

Can you remember what the old thread was? Sure mines around 58 each but I'm on 17s

Mine were pretty much exact tbh fronts maybe few mm lower.

Ross, that's pretty low given your spacers & wheels lol much rubbing?

Matt

No spacers at all. With goodyear 205/40's very little rubbing and with yoko parada's in 205/40 lots of rubbing all inside the arches and a little on the front metal bit of arch. the parada's are a much bigger tyre.

Matt - I reckon there is plenty of scope to go lower at the front, especially now it's on 16s

How low are you at the back? - adapters out, cups still in???. Just trying to assess whether more lows are possible without cutting springs....

i really need to measure mine and see how it compares (if anyone knows how to possibly say what i said then without it sounding that rude please tell me lol)

"I doth beleive I need to obtain measurements regarding the ride height of my fine automobile such to compare it to that of my learned friends?" :wonder:

I think this one wins - no contest...

The back is no cups at all, just springs sat on chassis. So i`m guessing next step would be chopping em. TBH it`s prob look better without so much stretch, could maybe go 205 on the rears. As for fronts, reckon it`ll drop a little more, no rubbing at all at the moment. I think the ride hight now is ideal for looks & practicality (to an extent lol). But it could go further i think :giggle:

Yeah but...your car looks broken! I don't mean to sound harsh, but it doesn't suit that look with the standard alloys. Maybe with some old-school BBS splits or something?

I'm on a moderate drop with Evolos and 205/40/17's, will try and get measurements later.

Them tyres are only on the standard wheels because i still can`t find anyone to fit them on my Borbets!

i really cant be arsed to measure mine, i can post pics if anyone thinks they can guess it..... emoticon-0136-giggle.gif
