New Octavia VRS petrol needs oil

Featured Replies

No problem. As I said, believe what you want to believe.

Mine's beef and onion please....

Morning all, I hope you don’t mind but I am going to jump onto the back of this thread as I have a oil question and I can't find the answer and I don't want to start a new thread.

I used to drive a 03 passat and she was a PD engine so PD oil OK all good…now I drive TDi vRS FL and I have no idea if is she a PD or common rail I thought she was a PD but the people I talked to last night said they think she is a common rail…… Anyone?

So anyway I am off away soon and I need to know what oil should I take with me when I go away?

Thanks in advance x

Hi Miss George, You can easily tell what engine your car has by looking at the sticker in the service book or in the spare wheel well. Next to the engine power e.g. 125kW if it says BMN or BMR you have a PD engine if it says something like CEGA or CBBB I believe then you have a CR engine.

The oil will be the same, as long as it says on the back that it meets VW 504/507 spec.
