Its done mega miles, over 38000

Yeah true, but there are plenty of standard spec pre-FL cars with more mileage going for between £14K and £15K making this FL very cheap...

That's not mega miles, registered in January 2010 has done 37000... And that's less than I was expecting to do by now...

Diesels are good for high miles, that's why a lot of us get them...

Its blue...Thats why its cheap ;)

Nice buy for someone that.

Not 'silly cheap' in my view, just realistically priced for 18 months old, and with that mileage. Ideal for someone who'll do average annual mileage or below, so within a few years the total will level out.

I'd have had that if it were DSG...

Not 'silly cheap' in my view.

Realistically priced in isolation perhaps, but not when compared to the pre-FL's out there.

Granted, there aren't many FL diesel vRS's with above average mileage out there to be able to get an accurate feel for used prices, however my 'silly cheap' comment comes from the fact that there are literally pages and pages of pre-FL lower spec higher mileage vRS's for more (in some cases quite a bit more) money than this one – including private non-trade sales.

I've been looking at used vRS's & Scout's for a good year now and was fully expecting to see "Cat C" or "Cat D" in the listing due to the low price.

I very much like the pre-FL look, but not that much! :giggle:

yes please!

About what I paid for similar age and mileage but without the xenons and rain sensitive wipers, looks like a good deal to me.

Mileage wouldn't bother me if the car was in good nick and the book was stamped. Probably been flying up and down the motorway, it'll be less worn than a town car with 15k.

Second-hand prices have been artificially affected by the delivery delay on new vehicles, with main dealers asking a premium for stock sat on their forecourt, for immediate purchase.
