Leatherette Wrap Centre Console

Featured Replies

Hi,

Inspired by SBL (or pending-change)'s post on wrapping interior trim with 3M vinyl. I am thinking about wrapping the radio and climate surround with back leatherette, similar to this post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4469570

Since the trim is about £15, I think I would take the plunge and experiment with it. Any idea what I should use - what sort of glue? I found leatherett fabric for around £5 post for 1/5 meter, which is more thn enough to cover that part.

Cheers

In the states 3M sells a glue called super 77. It is pretty good for these types of applications.

Just an update, it has been discontinued.

Bought some black leatherette, but is way too thick for the air con switches, if its any thinner then it might as well be those 3M vinyl, but that would achieve the soft touch effect I am after!

Mmm...need additional thoughts.
