Faults with Columbus fitted in 19-CAN, any ideas?

Featured Replies

I fitted a Columbus in my pre FL Octavia. Everyting seems to work fine except the controls for the maxidot display. The wiper stalk end button does nothing in Audio or Navigation. I can live without that but when I did a scan the following faults showed up in 19-CAN, 37-Navigation and 56-Radio. Does anyone know if this would be connected to the controls not doing anything or if it's a sign of any other problem? Thanks!

  • 4 months later...

Some of these are connected to the problems I am having - take a look at this thread and try some of the suggestions there.

You won't get rid of the "00821 - Antenna 2 for radio" unless you fit a second radio aerial (FL Octavias have a second aerial in the rear windscreen demister, I believe).

As the codes say the control module is incorrectly coded.

The issue with the wiper stalk will either be the coding or the firmware.

  • 2 weeks later...

Some of these codes are from when you swapped the units over.

Clear the fault codes on those modules and see what comes back for a clearer picture.

Have you coded the Columbus so that BAP is disabled?
