Who's removed their seat covers?

Featured Replies

I've seen the guide on the Technical guide forum on how to remove the covers.

Looks fairly easily & I might give it a go one weekend. My seats a filthy & need a damn good wash. I've used a Rug Doctor on my seats in the past & was fairly happy with the results but they weren’t perfect - so I want to get them 'Really' clean.

But, how difficult are the covers to get off? & more importantly - to get back on? For those who have tried/done this are there any tips or tricks that you would like to share & is there anything that I should be wary of or be cautious about?

Anyone washed the covers on a temperature higher than 40C or is 40C ok? Should I add a stain remover like Vanish or can this damage the fabric.

Cheers.

btw - are the original VRS floor mats washing machine safe?

I have done, and i wouldnt do it again, The backs were simple enough but the fronts were a right PITA. They came out clean but it wasnt worth the hastle imho

What was the main cause of a** painage!!

Was it the bull nose clips or something else?

I cleaned mine in situ. I used a vanish stick and warm water, worked a treat.

Not really although they were awkward on the fronts but the uprights of the front seats have a wierd wire system to hold in place and it was hard to get the wires back in the original position. That was the PITA

So it was the back rests/uprights that were the pain. If thats the case i might just remove the bases from the front & Vax/Rug Doctor the uprights.

Were the base covers difficult?
