4X4 drop links and bushes?

Featured Replies

I've got a bit of a clonk on the front of my 4X4 estate and I'm going to try the ARB bushes and drop links. I've read a load of posts on here, but still can't find out which ones to buy? Should I go for standard or R32/S3 or are they all the same? The suspension is standard at the moment. Also, can anyone recommend which ARB and dog bone bushes please? I'm slowly replacing bits with upgraded items, and I'm a big fan of polybushes I just want to get the right stuff first time around. I am 'tweaking' the car, but on a budget. Any pointers would be much appreciated!

I am running Neuspeed 25mm front and 22mm rear ARB's. Just had the front ARB poly bushes and standard geniune drop links, replaced by Jabba. Standard drop links will be fine unless your super low, which being standard your obviously not.. I am on coilovers, admittedly not wound down, but it's considerably lower than the standard 4x4 height, just below VRS standard I would say. Before having them replaced the car sounded like a bag of bolts going over bumps. About £80 for both droplinks and poly bushes (not got receipt to hand).

There has also been a recent similar post on here a few days ago regarding fitting ARB's to the 4x4.

Hi Modra,

Thanks for the reply, I'll get some standard ones ordered.
